No Rooting Needed. You can download it here. You can safely un-install it as well. Alert is for Calendar Events, Notification is everything else.
I like how this one has the option to change your default ringtone inside the app. The other one requires you to exit to go to "Sounds & Ringtones" to change your ringtone.
Developer is willing to listen to it's users for addition functions. He added a "Reset Defaults" option to this application because users requested it.
