It's been about 3 years since I've been to this place. It has changed quite a bit since then. In a good way. Where you wait in line before you enter has been upgraded. The entrance is now a house with various characters that open the windows and talk to you. Plus there is a huge pumpkin head monster that rises from the bushes. I won't say to much more, since I don't want to ruin it for you.

The Haunted Forest was a great experience. I was astounded at how much detail there was with the displays. And it is a really neat feeling to be wandering through a bunch of trees and shrubs with spooky dim lanterns guiding you on the dusky winding path. One important note for asthma sufferers, if you have trouble breathing when fog machines are in use you will want to come prepared with medication, or a mask. I have a lot of trouble with the fog triggering my asthma, and even though a good portion of this event is outside, there are extended periods of walking through buildings that are completely filled with the "fogged" air. It almost became too much for me at one point. Also, make sure you bring a warm jacket as the wait to get in could become quite long. The entertainment they have set up for the waiting line is wonderful. The bathroom man was hilariously memorable. I was very impressed with the mine shaft experience, I felt like I was wandering into great subterranean depths with the dirt walls and musty smell. Also I enjoyed the crypt like room with the corpses that lean in and out from the walls under the spooky atmosphere of a strobe light. The walk through twirling tunnel is always a favorite. Some of the optical effects are the most thrilling. As a previous reviewer mentioned, I also felt like the event petered out towards the end and felt like they put some of the best stuff up front. All in all it was a great experience, definitely worth the money. I felt like I was in there for a really long time and I enjoyed every minute!

I really enjoyed this experience. I usually don't think much of haunted houses or anything of the sort but I was pleasantly surprised when I went to this Haunted Forest. It was my first time going to one & it definitely won't be my last.

The entertainment while waiting in line was fantastic. It was constant & we never made it around the looped shows so it kept everyone in line entertained & occupied.

The Haunted Forest was great, it was very scary & I'm not scared easily. I did not ever want to be the first one in the group because I was too scared of what I would run in to. I can't wait to come back next year!

Haunted Forest has done a great job of building ambiance while using the outdoors as the main mode of spook. There are several indoor areas to go through including an old, abandoned house and other smaller structures. The live performers were quite good for the most part. They had many of the hinged, high-tech fright features and the huge, growing monster at the front of the attraction is very well done.

It's very nice to wind through twisted, gnarled trees and then go up and down into authentic dungeons, mines, and old structures. The attention to detail is quite remarkable. The toilet-vomiting man is a top attraction with a unique twist...look for that one.

The latter part of the spook seems to fizzle out a bit - almost like they put their best stuff up front. For being very close to the freeway and other business, it's remarkably secluded.

All in all, although most current haunted attractions are over-priced, at least with the $20 entry fee at the Haunted Forest I felt I got my money's worth. The on-line $2 discount coupon helped out a little. They add $1 for credit card transactions. As always, going during the week is much better than the crowded weekend time. They do space out the people so they get their fair share of scare.

I would recommend this place. It's much better than indoor haunted attractions especially when the weather is agreeable.

There is good variety, you go indoors and outdoors. At one point you where in a cave, and it really felt like you traveled hundreds of feet underground. It felt cold and damp too. I went during a weekday, so it wasn't to busy which was nice. Overall it was great. Sometimes you could see a regular building off in the distance while walking in the forest. That was a little distracting, but not a big deal. It was when you where walking between different set-ups.
